Terms of use
Last updated [date]
1. Agreement
These terms apply to your use of the AI Search OS website and free tools, operated by [company legal name] (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you use the site on behalf of a company, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
2. The free benchmark
- The benchmark reports how AI platforms answered a set of buyer questions at the time we checked. AI answers change, so results describe a point in time.
- It is provided for information and is not legal, financial or professional advice.
- Please only request a benchmark for a company you work for or are authorised to represent.
- We may limit how often a company or email can request a free benchmark, and may decline requests that look automated or abusive.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use bots, scripts or other automated means to submit forms or request results.
- Try to overload, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our site, tools or systems.
- Copy, scrape or resell our content, reports or tools without our written permission.
- Submit information that is false, or that you don’t have the right to share.
- Use the site in a way that breaks the law or the rights of others.
4. Our content
The site, our reports, studies, the Shortlist Score, Shortlist Index and the bench illustrations are owned by us or our licensors. You may read, share and quote them with credit and a link. Anything else needs our written permission.
Benchmark results we send you are for your internal business use.
5. Third-party platforms
We report on answers from third-party AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Google or Perplexity, and we don’t control how their products work or change. Product names belong to their owners.
6. Paid services
If you become a client, a separate written agreement or statement of work sets out the services, fees, approvals and confidentiality. If it conflicts with these terms, that agreement wins.
7. Disclaimer
We work hard to keep the site and our tools accurate and available, but we provide them “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the site or free tools. Our total liability for any claim relating to the free site and tools is limited to [USD 100]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to cover reasonable losses we suffer because you broke these terms or the law while using the site.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction]. Disputes go to the courts of [venue], unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
12. Contact
